Effective, Collaborative Research for Change
I have experience as a senior academic in reproductive health science, as a clinician and an implementation specialist focused primarily on maternal and neonatal health and wellbeing. I work globally to reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality within statutory, academic, NGO and corporate partnerships.
Contact usDr Phoebe Pallotti RM BSc (KCL) MA (Cantab) PhD (ScHARR, Public Health).
Now trading as Maternity International, Phoebe has a career spanning two decades in maternity research, epidemiological data analysis, midwifery practice and international health consultancy, with a qualification in the latter from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Phoebe works in international public health for mothers and newborns, with a particular focus on integrating mixed methods research into practical, contextually relevant quality improvement projects. As a senior academic for over a decade Phoebe is an expert in designing studies and consultancies, developing data collection techniques and implementing complex interventions which are feasible and acceptable for the local context. Quality improvement studies with a particular focus on health and care inequalities are of particular interest to her.
Her research expertise is in global women’s health and safe motherhood initiatives; strategic work on global and local health care inequalities; maternity care in migration and diaspora; breastfeeding; neonatal survival in Low to Middle Income Countries and the prevention of maternal to infant transmission of HIV. Phoebe is a passionate advocate and campaigner for the safe and dignified maternity care for women in the UK immigration system. Her clinical expertise is in continuity of care, intrapartum care and low-resource setting emergency maternity interventions, and she has lived and worked in a LMIC.
Phoebe currently offers health consultancy as Maternity International as well as a practising indpendent midwife and statutory contributor to maternity care in the UK.
